The University of Queensland’s Ochsner medical program announced that all nine of its US students have been placed in American clinical residency positions with seven of the nine being placed into one of their top 3 choices.
Four of the graduates were matched to the Ochsner Health System itself. The remaining five were matched to Emory University, Wayne State University, University of Hawaii, University of Denver and Eastern Virginia Medical School.
At a time where residency matching is becoming more competitive due to the increased spots in US medical schools, it is more important than ever for those prospective applicants who are considering an international medical school to choose with extreme caution.
Best of luck with your applications!
