Hi. I’m applying to the PhD Anthropology Program at Vanderbilt University. I have a Masters in Archaeology and did pretty good grades-wise. I studied at the top University at Peru at the Archaeology Department. I did pretty good grades wise (around 17 in a scale to 20 in Undergrad and 19 out of 20 in Grad School). I have my BA, my professional title and Masters; I have defended two dissertations, both with an “Outstanding” grade. My university is really supporting my application (Vanderbilt has pretty close ties with my university in this department), my recommendation letters are great and I’m a teacher in my Undergrad Department. My TOEFL went great, 117 in the IBT out of 120. However, my GRE scores seem low: V610, Q670 and AW4.5 so I’m really worried. Are my chances of getting into the PhD program badly hurt?
Thanks a lot for your answer!
